This painting was commissioned by a music producer for a song called, 'Pelanque' - a small section is being taken for an album cover.  The whole, original painting has a dynamic sweep and energy, which is why it is being released separately for sale.  The producer wanted a piece with rich violets and a sense of the music itself within the piece - hence the free brushstrokes, which have been left in to maintain the quality of motion.
